SECOND  CIRCULAR

Dear  Colleagues,

Thank  you so much for your registration in the 4th China-Japan-Korea Joint Conference  on Geography. This conference, sponsored by Geographical Society of China,  co-sponsored by the Geographical Society of both Japan and Korea, will be held  at Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, in December 09-11, 2009. With the  aim of promoting wide academic cooperation among scholars across Asia, this  conference will provide all participants a vibrant, innovative safari to explore  the latest progress and development of geography.

This  is the Second Circular to inform you the following issues.

1. VENUE

The  Post-crisis East Asian Geography: Challenge and Outlook

3. TOPICS:  

Regional  Corporation, financial/economic crisis, environmental protection

Regional  and urban transformation of society, culture and economy in Asia

Geographical  research on new theories and new methods

4.  ABSTRACTS

Deadline:  September 30, 2009

Abstracts  need to be sent as a Word document attachment by 30 Sep, 2009, each contains  400-600 words besides the title, authors, institution or company, mailing  address, postcode, and e-mail.

You can submit your abstract via e-mail (either in e-mail text or  attachment file).

5. FOR ORAL  PRESENTATION

Time  for each paper: Each paper will be given up to 20 minutes maximum. Each paper  can take up to 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of discussions.

We  will offer aids for PC based presentation. Conference room will be equipped with  both PC and projector. You are welcome to use Microsoft PowerPoint for your  presentation.

Computer  files: If you intend to use PowerPoint slides, please put your PPT file in a USB  memory stick and load it onto the PC in the conference room before your sessions  begin.

Please  do NOT send your file(s) to the conference organizer(s) through e-mail.

6. FOR POSTER  PRESENTATION

We can provide 180 cm (H) X 90 cm (W) space for each poster. Please  prepare your poster within the size.

7. FEES AND  HOTEL

The  registration fee is USD $300 for one participant and will be paid at the  symposium. Registration fees cover hotels of three nights, one banquet, and  admission to the conference, conference packages (booklets), coffee breaks,  reception, and related services. The organizing committee would like to reserve  hotels for participants. For fieldwork participants, a fieldtrip fee of 50 USD  will also be charged at the symposium.

第四屆中日韓地理學家學術研討會曁第十二屆全國青年地理工作者學術研討會通知
（第二號）

由中國地理學會發(fā)起并由中、日、韓三國地理學會聯(lián)合主辦的“第四屆中日韓地理學家學術研討會”將于2009年12月9日－11日在中國廣州召開。中國地理學會及會議組織者誠摯感謝已報名的各位亞洲地理學家對本次會議的支持，熱烈歡迎各位學者齊聚羊城、探討地理研究進展并推動三國之間的學術交流與合作。屆時將舉辦“第十二屆全國青年地理工作者學術研討會”，歡迎全國青年地理學者共同探討當代地理學的前沿領域與未來發(fā)展。

六、PPT展示

時間：每篇文章的展示時間不超過20分鐘。建議匯報時間為15分鐘，另外5分鐘作為問答時間。會議提供電腦服務，會場將置備電腦和幻燈機，學者可在會前將PPT拷進會議電腦。

七、海報展示

會議為每一張海報提供180 cm (H) X 90 cm  (W) 的空間，請學者控制海報的大小。

八、研究生學術辯論賽

研究生學術辯論賽是青年地理工作者學術會議的重要內容之一。會議期間分自然地理和人文地理兩組舉辦研究生辯論賽，參賽隊員為代表隊所在單位正式注冊的博士生或碩士生。歡迎國內各大專院校和研究院所選派代表隊參賽。參賽單位須在2009年10月31日前報名。

九、  會議注冊費

注冊費國外學者為300美元（含住宿三天）,  國內學者為人民幣800元，國內學生為人民幣300元，將于2009年12月9日報到注冊時收取。注冊費包括一次會議宴會、茶\咖啡\點心等會間茶歇和其他相關服務活動。注冊費不包括住宿費用；住宿將由會議組織方統(tǒng)一預定?？疾熨M用另外收取，費用為50美元，也將在注冊報到時收取。
